New to Us
Welcome to our wonderful community here at Peaceful Warrior! We are so excited to get to know you and help you move forward in your yoga practice. Whether you are new to yoga or more experienced – we want you to feel welcome and comfortable. In your first few classes, you’ll see quickly how our instructors bring their own perspective to each practice. Every time you come to your mat we will do our best to give you not just a yoga class, but an experience. At Peaceful Warrior, we try to do more than just practice Yoga poses. We delve into the philosophies and invite challenge so that you can grow stronger – not just physically, but mentally and spiritually too. Many times, you'll find these lessons can travel with you off your mat.
Some things to know about us!
Online Registration is requested but not required. To register online, just click the "Sign Up" button for any class on our schedule pages.
If you are not registering online, please be sure to arrive 15-20 minutes early for your first class. We have registration available through our website along with an app available for you to make the registration process as simple as possible.
ARRIVING TO CLASS
Please arrive about 10 to 15 minutes early for your class and remove shoes before entering the studio. Doors are locked when classes are in session to protect our students belongings. You can leave your shoes by the front door, Peaceful Warrior is a barefoot space!
INSIDE THE YOGA STUDIO
We do not allow speaking inside the studio before class begins. This space is a sanctuary and used by many before class for meditation. In our over-stimulated society, these moments of silence before classes are greatly beneficial. After class, we’d love to have you stay and chat with us and the other students in the room. It’s a beautiful opportunity for us to share in community.
Please leave all of your belongings in the Lobby to keep the practice space open. We will lock the door during class to protect your belongings.
NO CELL PHONES
This is a mindful space, please turn off cell phones and leave them in the Lobby.
FOOD AND HYDRATION
Give yourself 2-3 hours to digest before you practice yoga. Your body will be more comfortable. It is best NOT to drink water during practice. While we permit water bottles in the studio and will never keep you from grabbing a drink please know that hydration is best BEFORE you arrive.
We do not recommend short sleeve shirts for heated classes. For the ladies, tanks with yoga capris or pants works best. For men, swim shorts or other exercise shorts will be conducive. While shirts are optional, we do NOT allow speedos (thank you for your understanding!).
The studio is kept at the optimal temperature for the health and well-being of your body. By attending our studio, you acknowledge that heat will be used to the closest proximity to our class descriptions as we are able to maintain it. Some days may be more humid or feel hotter due to the intensity of class or what poses we are exploring. You may take rests at any time. We discourage you from leaving the studio space. The front lobby will not be available to you during class but the bathroom areas are open should you absolutely require them.
Please refrain from wearing heavy scents to class. Many students have sensitivities to synthetic fragrances.
Please bring your own mat or you can rent one from the front desk for $2. You will want to bring a large towel with you or a skidless towel if available to you otherwise we will rent you one with your mat for an additional $1. We have an assortment of props for your use. If you are unsure when or how to use props please note that your teacher will assist you with that during class. You are welcome to bring a water bottle into class.
New To Yoga
Our classes are open level as everyone enters at different levels and continues at their own pace. Peaceful Warrior instructors will "differential instruct" for you so you will be able to find your way through any of our classes. There's only one thing you need to decide: Would you like heat or not? Most people prefer the heat, but we do offer non-heated classes as well!
Yoga is not a place for perfection. We will show you how every practice can be modified for what you need each day. Even when we have dynamic, flowing classes we are always sure to begin them with an opportunity to find alignment in each pose.
You’ll have the opportunity to make each yoga practice your own – so take what you like and leave what you don’t. If you need a lighter day than take rest where you need it. And if you want to work hard you’ll see us give options to intensify your practice with deeper variations.
Your teacher will always be available to you after class, so feel free to check in with them with any questions or comments.

On top of that, our studio is beautiful, well-maintained, and comfortably heated – offering an extensive schedule to get you on your mat no matter your weekly schedule.
